I work with people who want to slow down and come back into relationship – with land, with language, and with themselves.

From the edge of the Dee Estuary and nearby woodland landscapes, I currently offer guided walks, writing workshops and seasonal gatherings shaped by tide, light and attention. These are gentle, thoughtful spaces for noticing, reflection and shared presence – not performance or productivity.

Some people come to deepen their writing practice. Others come simply to walk, observe and listen within a small, welcoming group. Often, it becomes a little of both.

Ways we might work together

Guided walks & place-based sessions
Slow, attentive walks along the estuary, coast or woodland, designed to deepen connection to landscape and season.

Writing & noticing workshops
Supportive workshops rooted in place, suitable for both new and experienced writers.

Seasonal retreats & immersive days
Longer gatherings shaped by the rhythms of tide, weather and light, offering time to settle more fully into place both by the estuary and further afield across the UK.

Writing commissions
I am available for commissions in nature, place and travel writing.

My work is informed by years spent walking daily with my reactive rescue dog, training attention in marginal places, and by my academic and practical background in nature connection and place-based writing.

If this work speaks to you, you’re welcome to get in touch. I have some forthcoming events planned.

Details and early access are shared first via my Strandlines community.

Love Where You Live

A February Walking & Writing Workshop in West Wirral
Week beginning 15 February

February is often framed around romantic love, but this workshop offers a quieter invitation: to fall back in love with the place that holds you.

Love Where You Live is a small, place-based walking and writing workshop shaped by the estuary and nearby woodland landscapes. We’ll walk slowly, noticing tide, weather, light and movement, and pause regularly to write – not to produce polished work, but to pay closer attention to what is already here.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to deepen their relationship with place, whether through writing, walking, or simply learning to notice more fully. You don’t need to consider yourself a writer – curiosity and openness are enough.

There will be gentle prompts, shared silence, and space to reflect within a warm, welcoming group. No critique. No pressure. Just time to arrive where you are.
